Die zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte Volkswirtschaft der Welt hat in Fragen der Nachhaltigkeit gro\u00dfe Fortschritte gemacht \u2013 etwa in Bezug auf staatliches Eigentum, Aktion\u00e4rsfreundlichkeit, Kontrollstrukturen, Offenlegung und Umweltverantwortung. Warum das ist, erkl\u00e4ren drei Experten des Asien-Spezialisten <a href=\"https:\/\/global.matthewsasia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matthews Asia<\/a>\u00a0in ihrem aktuellen Marktkommentar.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Umwelt: Radikale Ver\u00e4nderungen in kurzer Zeit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201eUmweltthemen sind in China wichtiger als irgendwo sonst auf der Welt\u201c, sagt\u00a0<strong>Andrew Mattock <\/strong>(Foto),\u00a0<strong>Lead Manager des\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/global.matthewsasia.com\/funds\/asia-growth\/china-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matthews China Fund<\/a><\/strong>. Asien ist mit einem Anteil von 88 Prozent an den globalen Treibhausgasen\u00a0die Region der weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dften Verursacher, wobei China mit 60 Prozent an erster Stelle steht, gefolgt von Indien mit 13 Prozent. China unternehme nun \u201eseismische Schritte\u201c, um eine Wirtschaft anzupassen, die auf einer umweltsch\u00e4dlichen Grundlage entstanden ist \u2013 und sich in relativ kurzer Zeit radikal \u00e4ndern m\u00fcsse.<\/p>\n<p>Deshalb habe sich Chinas F\u00fchrung dazu verpflichtet, den H\u00f6hepunkt der Kohlenstoffemissionen in der Volksrepublik\u00a0<em>vor<\/em>\u00a02030 zu erreichen und bis 2060 kohlenstoffneutral zu sein. Bis 2030 soll zudem die installierte Kapazit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Solar- und Windenergie bei 1.200 Gigawatt (GW) liegen. Zum Vergleich: Ende 2021 belief sich die weltweite Kapazit\u00e4t erneuerbarer Energien auf 3.064 GW.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eDer neue F\u00fcnfjahresplan Chinas mit dem Titel ,Gemeinsamer Wohlstand\u2018 (\u201aCommon Prosperity\u2018) bringt viele Fragen nachhaltigen Investierens in die Regierungspolitik ein\u201c, so Mattock. \u201eSein Grundgedanke besteht darin, den B\u00fcrgern Chinas gleichberechtigten Zugang zu Bildung, Gesundheitsversorgung und Wohnraum zu erm\u00f6glichen, um eine gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigere Verteilung des Wohlstands zu f\u00f6rdern.\u201c Verantwortungsvolle Investitionsm\u00f6glichkeiten bieten sich deshalb sowohl in \u00e4lteren Industrien, die sich im Wandel befinden, als auch in neueren, alternativen Sektoren.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soziales: \u201eChinas Umgang mit den Uiguren ist ein Grund f\u00fcr Besorgnis\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Arbeitnehmerrechte und Sicherheit am Arbeitsplatz m\u00f6gen noch nicht auf dem gleichen Stand wie in Europa und Nordamerika sein. Doch das Wohlergehen der chinesischen Arbeitnehmer hat sich in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten sprunghaft verbessert. Allerdings sei Chinas Umgang mit ethnischen Bev\u00f6lkerungsgruppen wie den Uiguren ein weiterer Grund f\u00fcr internationale Besorgnis, betont\u00a0<strong>Robert Horrocks<\/strong><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Chief Investment Officer (CIO)<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>von Matthews Asia<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201eWir sind uns bewusst, dass die Behandlung ethnischer Minderheiten in China und der m\u00f6gliche Einsatz von Zwangsarbeit ein Thema ist, das unsere Kunden besch\u00e4ftigt. Deswegen recherchieren wir, sprechen mit Unternehmen und stellen ihnen Fragen \u2013 und wenn wir mit den Antworten nicht zufrieden sind, investieren wir nicht.\u201c<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Unternehmensf\u00fchrung: \u201eTransparenz, Effizienz und Beteiligung von Minderheitsanlegern verbessert\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chinas Regierung hat in den vergangenen Jahren die Bek\u00e4mpfung der Korruption massiv vorangetrieben. Sie hat gerade in den letzten f\u00fcnf Jahren gro\u00dfe Fortschritte bei der Verbesserung der Unternehmensf\u00fchrung, der Rechenschaftspflicht von Firmeneigent\u00fcmern und der Transparenz f\u00fcr Aktion\u00e4re gemacht. \u201eDie Ver\u00e4nderungen in und gegen\u00fcber chinesischen Unternehmen vor Ort sind bemerkenswert\u201c, sagt\u00a0<strong>Kathlyn Collins<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nachhaltigkeits-Chefin von Matthews Asia<\/strong>. So habe nicht nur der Anteil ausl\u00e4ndischer Aktion\u00e4re an chinesischen Aktien zugenommen. Auch auf dem Markt f\u00fcr Inlandsaktien (\u201eA shares\u201c) ist die Proportion von Unternehmen mit Gro\u00dfaktion\u00e4ren, die mehr als 30 Prozent der Anteile halten, r\u00fcckl\u00e4ufig.<\/p>\n<p>Reformen der Unternehmen im Staatsbesitz (\u201eState-owned enterprises\u201c, SOEs) haben Subventionierung und k\u00fcnstliche Preisgestaltung abgebaut. \u201eStaatliche Unternehmen werden effizienter und reagieren besser auf Marktver\u00e4nderungen. Das verbessert die Unternehmensf\u00fchrung und die Rechenschaftspflicht\u201c, so Collins.
